Purpose:
To use the market lamb project as a tool in the total development of youth in 4-H, FFA, and Other Youth Groups. This is especially adapted to rural non-farm and urban situations.
To provide a learning experience in livestock production and care.
To develop an appreciation of livestock among youth who may not be able to handle other types of large animals projects.
To provide opportunities for demonstrating skills learned in selecting, producing, fitting and showing sheep.

Rules
- Lambs must be owned and in possession of the youth exhibitor at least 60 days prior to the date of the show.
- Youth exhibitors must be between the ages of 4 -18 years of age and not have graduated from high school.
- The exhibitor must reside in the Panhandle counties (Escambia, Okaloosa, Walton, Washington, Holmes, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Franklin, Gulf, Leon, Gadsden, Santa Rosa, Wakulla and Liberty) or be a member of Walton County 4-H or FFA.
- Lamb must not be older than 12 months of age and will still have milk teeth.
- Lambs must be wethers or open ewe lambs.
- Market classes will be divided into weight classes according to the number of entries.
- Lambs must be shown naturally. NO artificial colors, paints or dyes will be worn.
- Lambs must be shown with less then .5 inch of wool or slick shorn.
- Exhibitor will be allowed to show three (3) lambs only.
- All lambs must be trained for show and controlled by the exhibitor.
- Exhibitor will provide for the feed and care of their own animals.
- All market lambs entered for exhibition must have an official health certificate.
- All decisions of the judge will be final.

- One class - all age levels. (classes may be added at the discretion of the Division Chairman the evening of the event).
